You will be asked to bring your knowledge of data, and find elegant solutions that can be delivered effectively by data modelers that will delight the business partners and customers who consume the data. You will be an active participant on our Architectural Review Board and help craft and mature our various IT point-of-views, guidance’s, and policies. As a Data Architect on the Enterprise Architecture Team, you will partner with other Enterprise and Project Architects, Technology Team leaders, development teams, and business partners to maintain your domain’s data architecture, blueprints, and high-level conceptual designs. You’ll be asked to leverage a background in data analysis, data modeling, data warehousing and database designs along with being a designer, historian, futurist, and librarian of the data structure and information within your domain.Responsibilities:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Senior Data Architect Level Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of evangelizing technologies or working with technology development/delivery teams

  • 8+ years of information design, implementation, or consulting in four or more of the following areas:

  • Locations Data

  • Marketing & Branding Data

  • Digital Content & Media Data

  • Product & Customer Promotion Data

  • Competitor Data

  • Trade Management & Deals Data

  • Customer (profile, loyalty, relations) Data

  • Social Data

  • Workforce Management & Labor Data

  • TM Identity & Operational Data

  • Contract & Legal

  • Demographics

  • Sales & Margin Performance Data

  • Leases & Real Estate Assets

  • Store Construction Data

  • 5+ years of working with enterprise architecture or information architecture frameworks, methodologies, templates, and tools

Experienced Data Architect Level Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of evangelizing technologies or working with technology development/delivery teams

  • 2+ years of information design, implementation, or consulting in two or more of the following areas:

Other Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in strategic information technology planning and execution, as well as policy development and maintenance

  • Analytical skills. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences across internal and external organizations

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. This includes the ability to explain technology concepts to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists, and the ability to sell ideas and processes internally at all levels

  • Experience with data profiling and quality tools

  • Experience with large volume data processing

  • Experience in providing guidance in modeling, design and implementation of common data structures supporting enterprise applications and the mechanisms by which they are integrated with one another

  • Experience in defining or supporting strategy and governance development for enterprise data management and the facilities, applications and business processes necessary to develop a global data governance practice

PREFERRED QUALITIES & SKILLS

  • Technical degree; with computer science, math, or engineering highly desired

  • Experience with grocery or retail in either technology or business operations

  • Experience with enterprise architecture or data modelling toolsets like Casewise, Troux, or CA/Erwin

  • Experience with technical writing, design spec documentation, requirement traceability, risk/issue management or tracking

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy data solutions to the cloud
