Position Description:

Senior Business Analyst Position Summary: As a Senior Business Analyst you will develop complete, formal data requirements on life insurance products (traditional and interest-sensitive) from multiple data sources, including administrative systems for use in actuarial projection models. Assist with data validation, including the creation and execution of test plans on data builds by comparing alternate data sources, verifying transformation algorithms applied, checking internal consistency of data, and reviewing quality of supplied data.  Provide feedback to actuaries and IT staff regarding analysis performed

Position Requirements:

The Ideal Candidate will have: At least 3 years of actuarial experience with life insurance products, or an IT professional with 3+ years of direct support of life insurance business and excellent understanding of life insurance.  Experience with GGY AXIS a plus  Experience with data validation and formal data requirements requests to IT SME’s  Expertise with SQUL, including ability to create, interpret, and execute queries in SQL Server and/or Oracle DB environments  Excellent MS Access and/or MS Excel skills, especially those that would allow to create small automated tools to perform data validations  Strong attention to detail in both work performed and presentation of work products
