Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) proactively identifies, assesses, reports and mitigates compliance and reputational risks across business lines, products, legal entities and jurisdictions to the benefit of our franchise, customers and employees. Privacy and Information Independent Compliance Risk Management (PIC ICRM), a unit within ICRM is responsible for leading the Citi global privacy program as well as support the Enterprise Operations and Technology (EO&T) Function in their responsibility to adhere to applicable laws and regulations and mitigating compliance risks. The role of the Senior ICRM EO&T and Cross Border Officer will be to oversee, review, and communicate key regulatory requirements related to information-related topics such as data protection, and technology risk management, with an added focus on outsourcing and cross-border data transfer. This includes confirming that confirm that Citi’s EO&T Function is mitigating compliance risk related to these revised or newly issued regulatory requirements. The position will be responsible for providing oversight for all aspects of compliance risk management such as regulatory change management, risk assessments, monitoring, testing, and escalations. This candidate must acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the requirements relevant to this role.

Specific Responsibilities include:

•Provide ICRM alignment and coverage to assigned areas of compliance risk impacting cross-border transfers as well as compliance risk related to information technology risk management.

•Work closely and effectively with the Cross Border Data Clearance team

•Prepare and communicate status of regulatory developments impacting cross-border transfers and information technology risk management, as well as potential issues, and key actions to stakeholders.

•Coordinate and conduct enterprise-wide ICRM Risk Assessments for cross-border transfers and information technology risk -related topics

•Provide guidance and on-going support to Compliance Testing concerning cross-border transfers and information technology risk -related topics

•Monitor the resolution of relevant regulatory examination findings

•Work with country and regional ICRM colleagues to provide guidance to global process owners including providing regular periodic regulatory briefings to ensure that key compliance risks across different jurisdictions are understood and that appropriate safeguards are implemented

•Assist in the evaluation of Citi’s third party’s legal and regulatory compliance program to determine whether the third party has the necessary controls to enable the bank to remain compliant with information-related US and international rules and regulations.

•Manage and assist with global program ICRM coverage at the global level, including work on ICRM foundational elements, including rules inventory, regulatory change, issue management, monitoring, metrics and reporting.


Knowledge /Experience

•Bachelor’s Degree

•7+ years’ experience in Compliance/regulatory/legal or financial institution, including demonstrated experience in overseeing technology risk management programs.

•Knowledge of cross border regulatory restrictions preferred
