Your key tasks:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for network operations tasks and administration. They will participate in the ongoing support for network systems using current and emerging technologies. Maintains overall network health and carries out network tasks based on business objectives. Responsible for security, documentation, and administration of network equipment. Works well with others in a team environment.
The Network Engineer is responsible for the assessment and analysis of data, video and voice network services which requires an understanding of technologies used in services organizations. Must understand OSi model Layers 1-4 and be able to identify issues with tools such as Wireshark. Knowledgeable in the installation, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of firewalls, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint and Juniper. This individual will coordinate the installation with vendors to assure a smooth transition on worked projects. The position is also responsible for monthly monitoring of switches, routers and firewalls for errors and utilization and provide reports on findings; and ensures the network is up-to-date for PCI compliance and providing end user training and documentation where required. The Network Engineer should be knowledgeable in routing and switching design; networking and security standards and an understanding of design and implementation. This position may serve as a mentor to other members of the team and requires exceptional professionalism, communication abilities and strong technical skills.
