The Global Category Lead will manage a material portfolio covering the global requirement of materials & Services related to IT & Telecom, The Global Category Lead will report into the Global Category Sr. Manager IT & Telecom.

Support a global Procurements category by developing and implementing a global sourcing strategy.

Challenge existing concepts introducing creative new professional sourcing solutions.

Develop business cases identifying scope; benefits & value creation, comparison between previous & future spend (investment), critical success factors and business challenges.

Develop global agreements.

Manage the processes of global vendor approval and relationships.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the Global and Regional Category and Sub-Category Strategy and Business Plan.

Perform Global and Regional Category Market research.

Manage Category risks

Identifies opportunities of Value Creation and process improvement.

Execute and Monitor compliance with policies and procedures related to the respective global category.

Monitor and Report spend trends and forecasts.

Monitor and Report upcoming trends in global (and/or regional) political or legal legislations.

Develop effective and value creating sourcing strategies for global categories under management, and delivery of sourcing solutions that create cost savings and ensure availability of supply.

Manage vendors for assigned global sub-categories, to ensure long term effective delivery of services and goods.

Facilitate supplier innovation.

Analyze suppliers & performance and recommend improvements.

Work in teams on great geographical distance and in many different cultural environments.

Willing to travel approximately 20% of time & flexible to deal with situation of working & be accessible in different time zones.

Ability to deal with language and cultural differences related to international operations and co-operation within SABIC Corporation and outside with vendors.

Requirements Requirements:

Education and Training:

Minimum University Degree (Master/BS) in Information Technology, engineering, finance, business administration.

CIPS or ISM Certification is a Plus

Experience:

5 - 10 years experience in the petrochemicals or in an industrial environment (to be verified)

3-5 years experience in a similar function in a petrochemicals or industrial organization.

Good professional and commercial knowledge of category under management and expertise

Good negotiation skills

Good people management and interpersonal skills (managing global virtual organizations)

Good quantitative and analytical, conceptual and planning skills

Good financial analytical skills

Good international communication and presentation skills

Good change management skills

Good in building teams and business relationships

Good cultural awareness

Fluently English and 2nd language

Knowledge of and experience in petrochemicals: technology, business economics (financial models) and market dynamics and value drivers

Basic Legal knowledge, e.g. in relation to contracts
