Our Opportunity:

The Agile Coach and Operations specialist helps teams get to higher levels of maturity by continually improving their process, and ensuring that they adhere to the Scrum framework. S/he will work with the Scrum masters to serve as the Scrum framework authority for their teams and evangelize and educate their teams on, not only the process, but the benefits of following the process.

Additionally, S/he will help organize agendas and events such as “all hands meetings”, internal conferences, hackathons. S/he will also help with the construction of material for upper management (Annual Operating Plan, Budgets …)

The Agile Coach and Operations specialist has above average communication and facilitation skills, are well organized, and exhibit above average follow-up and follow-through skills. S/he will facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution. S/he will evangelize, demonstrate, and live the Agile values and principles as stated in the Agile Manifesto.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide leadership, direction and coaching to the team by encouraging them to adopt and mature good Scrum processes according to the Scrum Guide.

  • Hold the Scrum Master Center of Excellence

  • Be a servant leader: You receive as much satisfaction from facilitating others’ success as your own.

  • Radiate information: You make sure that all information needed to ensure the team’s progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders, including the team itself

  • Improve the team’s engineering practices and tools as needed: You make sure teams have the tools and know-how they need to succeed.

  • Communicate, communicate, communicate. You ensure that everyone is always up-to-speed.

  • Create an environment whereby the teams are motivated, self-organizing and self-sufficient.

  • Encourage teams to routinely inspect and adapt.

  • Assist the teams in establishing a consistent and predictable team level cadence (predictable velocity)

  • Organize agendas and events such as “all hands meetings”, internal conferences, hackathons

  • Create material for upper management (Annual Operating Plan, Budgets…)

  • Able to give ongoing status on teams using metrics

  • Fully educated and conversant on the Scrum process according to the Scrum Guide.

  • Thorough understanding of: Backlog grooming and relative estimating, Release planning

  • Sprint planning, Scrum metrics such as Sprint burndown, release burnup, & velocity, to name a few, Sprint review best practices and techniques, A variety of retrospective techniques

  • Ability to work with offshore

  • Organization skills - Ability to organize events (all hands, conferences)

  • Facilitation - Ability to facilitate discussions, rally team members, keep them on track on a particular subject

  • Presentation – Ability to put material together for upper management


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or related experience.

  • Scrum Master Certification.

  • 5+ years of experience in a software development environment preferably involving cross-team dependencies.

  • 3+ years of experience owning and managing customer expectations, project schedules, status and reporting and change management.

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.

  • Experience with 1 additional methodology besides Scrum.

  • Experience with 1 or more scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, DAD, Nexus).
