Job Purpose & Responsibilities Job Purpose

  • Securely deliver IT Infrastructure Services in AMR, according to the specifications agreed with SBUs, Corporate functions, Manufacturing, and IT Organizations

  • Provide 24/7 reliable and responsive IT infrastructure services across the global landscape of SABICs Business operations to serve its customers in over 5 countries

  • Accommodate future growth by making infrastructure a facilitating asset when integrating the infrastructure of acquired companies

Strategic Contribution

  • As a member of the Regional IT team, participate and contribute to the execution of the overall IT strategy to ensure Global IT maximizes its short, medium and long term value to its customers

  • Formulate and implement plans and budget in line with Global IT strategy and as befitting the department and needs and objectives of SBUs in AMR

Function Management

  • Create and manage robust ITIL/ISO standardized procedures across infrastructure solutions and services

  • Maintain understanding of critical business processes and manufacturing operations

  • Drive operational excellence

  • Track and communicate operational metrics (including trending over time) and identify process improvement opportunities

  • Work with business and service providers to identify and resolve systemic process and/or service delivery issues

  • Ensure that infrastructure (networks, datacenters, servers and storage) incidents and problems are resolved in a timely and effective manner, and reduced by analyzing root causes, minimizing disruption to business operations and adhering to SLAs on availability and resolution response times

  • Ensure businesses are aligned with Infrastructure processes and are utilizing appropriate support and Infrastructure management tools (Service desk, Virus Protection, etc).

  • Optimize the delivery of existing and new services and support the continuous improvement of the infrastructure architecture and design

  • Perform infrastructure asset (hardware, software and related infrastructure technology) assessments to determine their applicability and value for the enterprise

  • Ensure execution of firm enterprise and IT policies across the AMR infrastructure team

  • Facilitate collaboration with application architects, infrastructure engineers, systems administrators, and other technology specialists in project and strategy implementation

  • Influence and assist with the design, when appropriate, of new alternatives

  • Ensure 24/7/365 support of systems.

  • Align with global counterparts in order to achieve standardized operations and leverage subject matter expertise

  • Participate in teams supporting transformation projects with the businesses, such as technology refresh, consolidation strategies and infrastructure technology rollouts

  • Manage the operations of a project, providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, objectives and employee engagement in a motivated work environment

  • fully responsible for the successful project implementation according to plan (scope, schedule, dependencies, budget, resources, risk, change management, handover, etc.)

  • has overall responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating activities pertaining to projects

  • initiate and drive change management of business processes to enable successful project implementation

  • manage project related vendors, guide and steer contracted project staffing

  • ensure compliance of the project to regulation, legislation, standards, processes and procedures in all its activities and across all geographies

Financial Control

  • Track, manage, forecast and report on the project budget and expenditure for a project.

  • Forecast and manage resource demands for the project

People Management

  • Ensure the effective achievement of IT projects and meeting service operating KPIs

Communications and Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain regular contact with the Regional IT Manager and relevant regional section heads to ensure services are aligned to their needs

  • Ensure involvement of right stakeholders for major incidents communications and resolution on root cause fixes

  • Ensure involvement of right stakeholders in pro-active communications regarding scheduled maintenance efforts, planned upgrades & system outages

  • Align horizontally about the feasibility of the service levels to provide SME input to the stakeholders

  • Recognize and acknowledge complaints and concerns

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze recurring incidents and performance of existing systems, processes, people and ensure corrective actions are taken

  • Continuously look for opportunities to make the functions processes more efficient

Requirements Minimum Qualifications

  • University or Bachelor degree in IT or Electrical Engineering

Minimum Experience

  • 3years experience in IT
