As part of the drive to develop an organisational capability in the front office, we are looking for an experienced Front Office technologist to help create the next generation of pricing and risk infrastructure.

Is this a part time position?:
Quant Development Team works very closely with Derivatives Analytics Quants Team to develop tools and applications that build on our proprietary derivatives analytics library. Before any new analytics functionality can be released into derivative pricing and risk systems, it has to be thoroughly tested and validated by Model Validation team. As a part of Quant Development Team, the candidate will work both with Quants and Model Validation teams to builds tools and applications to make the new model release pipeline operating efficiently and smoothly. More specifically, the candidate will work very closely with Model Validation team to build a set of tools such as risk scenario generator, parallel scenario executer, result aggregator and reporter, etc. that will become part of Model Validation Toolkit (MVKit).
Directly face Quants and Model Validation teams in a fast paced, high pressure front office environment to deliver bespoke solutions
Work with other developers and testers as part of the wider team within Analytics Information Technology and Services.
Contribute to analysis, design and development of systems, business processes, data and interface
A numerate degree from a major university
Desirable criteria and qualifications:
Previous experience in designing and developing front office derivatives pricing and risk applications is HIGLY DESIRABLE.
Strong understanding and practice of object-oriented programming, design patterns and software development best practices
Experience in modern C++ and using libraries such as STL, BOOST, etc.
Strong understanding of programming paradigms such as distributed architectures and multi-threaded programme design.
Experience of Agile SDLCs

Essential experience and job requirements:
Strong C++ programming skills in Windows environment is a MUST.
Basic fluency of programming in Python is a MUST.
Basic understanding of derivatives products and pricing concepts is a HIGLY DESIRABLE
