U.S. Bank Data Analytics Consultant in Irving, Texas

This position is responsible for managing the research and analytics used to grow existing client revenue and support the execution of an optimization plan. Responsibilities will include analyzing multiple data sets and working with the Optimization Engineer to provide actionable client spend growth plans. The role requires a deep understanding of data analytics as well as the tools used to analyze them (i.e. Excel, SQL Software, Tableau, internal reporting tools). Also needed is the ability to review data results and synthesize them into a set of actionable items for growth. Once a client growth plan has been established, this position will assist the Optimization Engineer in the work with the sales and relationship management team to gain the client’s understanding and commitment to execution of this plan.

Essential Functions:

  1. Define ongoing business requirements for a system that will combine and normalize client growth opportunity data from several different sources.

  2. Work with the various cross-functional teams to execute the implementation of a centralized client data system and analysis tool.

  3. Work with the Optimization Engineer to execute client opportunity analyses and recommendations ongoing.

  4. In conjunction with the Optimization Senior Product Manager, work with the CPS marketing, relationship management and product teams to provide the templates, materials and training required to take these recommendations to clients.

  5. Work with the CPS relationship management team and CPS analytics team to execute and measure the client opportunity growth attainment.

  6. Work with the CPS analytics team to create and maintain client reporting that tracks opportunity growth results.

  7. Create and maintain a dashboard to report on client engagements and results.

Qualifications:

The position requires a deep understanding of data management and analytics tools along with skill to translate raw data into actionable plans. Also required is the ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of CPS products to identify and communicate client growth opportunities.

  • 5 years of experience in a data management, data analysis and research function.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, SQL software skills, proficiency with Tableau.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively explain and synthesize complex data for clients.

  • Must feel comfortable communicating cross-functionally within the organization.

  • Proven time management skills, communication and writing skills, and general project management skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
