We are currently seeking a Director – Cybersecurity Domain Architecture to join our team in Round Rock, TX, located in the suburbs of beautiful Austin

The Director of Domain Architecture is a hands on leadership role overseeing the team responsible for strategic technology and architectural planning for Cyber security technology domains.

The Director of Security Architecture team will lead the technical direction of Dell Cybersecurity's global security program and will report directly to Dell's Sr. Director of Technology. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining technical security standards, solutions and processes that align technical controls with Dell security policies, and address key security.

This individual must be focused on continuous and iterative improvement of security posture and must possess strong technical skills but equally important is ability to influence and lead geographically, technically and culturally disparate groups people across LKQ business units who may have very different technology environments.

Success in this role will be determined by strength of technical leadership across various domains, ability to persuade disparate groups of people across Dell business entities, and ability to build and leverage close and collaborative working relationships with peers.

The Director of Security Architecture must leverage a strong security architecture knowledge to drive change, build a culture of security, and support the evolution of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Cybersecurity architecture definition & execution as the leader of Dell Cybersecurity's Architecture team

  • Defining requirements for, and implementing changes to, architecture processes, methods and frameworks

  • Coordinate across Cybersecurity, IT and other business units in the collaborative creation of target-state architectures and roadmaps for implementation.

  • Apply your substantial technical experience and expert-level architectural thinking to complex multi-year transformation activities and will directly contribute to strategic programs and projects

  • Lead a talented group of domain architects to develop target-state technical solutions across network security, directory services, cryptography, endpoint and threat logging/monitoring.

  • Provide hands-on leadership and own overall security architecture design

  • Evaluate new and emerging security products and technologies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Individuals with CISSP, CISM, or CCSP certifications preferred

  • 10+ years Security experience

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities.

  • Ability to efficiently summarize complex, cross-organizational initiatives.

  • Ability to help drive agreement on priorities through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders who at times may hold competing or conflicting goals.

  • Ability to engage executive level stakeholders on complex matters in a substantive manner with little to no oversight and limited guidance.

  • Ability to confidently and effectively present complex technical topics to senior non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of larger matrixed organization.

  • Ability to quickly organize and direct virtual teams as necessary to accomplish goals.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Pragmatic, results-driven, value focused and accountability-minded.

Technical Skills:

  • Detailed technical knowledge and experience with network security, authentication, security protocols, access control, cryptography, and application security.

  • Coordinate with system architects and developers to provide guidance in creating and integrating secure Cloud based designs.

  • Proven success with the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware virtualization solutions, Pivotal, Windows and Linux based platforms, etc.

  • Experience with leading laws, regulations, standards and best practices including, but not limited to, CSA CCM, NIST, ISO, PCI, Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, and EU GDPR.

  • Experience building a security catalog of best practices, techniques and patterns to enable secure network implementations.

  • Hand-on experience with multiple security technologies such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Vulnerability Scanning, WAF, Wireless LAN, NAC, DLP, DDoS Mitigation, WAN security, SIEM, Content Filtering, Cloud Security gateways, Secure Proxies, SSL crypto solutions.
