Currently, we are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer in Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX . The selected candidate must have a government security clearance, per contract requirements (Clearance Level: Top Secret ).
CSRA provides 24 AF AFFOR with the staff & technical and analytical support relating to C2, planning, implementing, and executing the AF Cyber mission, including support to development and implementation of tools and procedures for Net D and NW ops, and related incorporation of Net S and Net E support capabilities and functions. CSRA supports the evolution of existing NWO mission for AF Cyber capabilities and 24 AF integrated processes, procedures, data and systems to support air, space and electromagnetic spectrum operations. CSRA provides integrated planning, coordination, analysis, requirements and operations to enable coordinated efforts with tactical operations, National agencies, USSTRATCOM, USCYBERCOM and Combatant Commands.
So what is required of a Cyber Security Engineer on a day to day basis?
Provide expertise necessary to normalize/integrate existing 24 AF requirements processes with AF, AFSPC, and AFLCMC requirements development processes.
Develops, recommends and coordinates the implementation of moderately complex data and computer security policies and procedures to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
Ensures system security needs established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis.
Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues.
May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.
BS or equivalent + 2 yrs related experience, or MS + 0 yrs experience
Top Secret Clearance
IAT Level II equivalent required
Security + certification required
Experience in Data Security, Network Defense, & Defense Community
Experience in Cloud Computing preferred
Experience in Network Architecture preferred
