Job Description:

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) has an immediate opening for a Senior Level Programmer Analyst to provide programming, analysis, and design services for the PACER Service Center (PSC) in San Antonio, TX.

Programming will be to support the PSC Web Site, the PACER Case Locator, public access and billing components of the CM/ECF and CM/ECF Next Generation applications, and other internal applications. Focus will be on secure development to ensure the program continues with its PCI compliance.

The candidate must have experience in the development of enterprise-class web applications using Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Perl experience is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, analysis, development, testing, support, and maintenance

  • Develop and maintain software systems using C, Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, Perl, and/or Linux shell

  • Develop secure web services utilizing standards such as SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSD, XML and/or JSON

  • Independently and collaboratively design and create efficient software solutions

  • Develop and maintain unit tests for new and existing software components

  • Assist in the creation of use cases and test cases

  • Participate in an Agile work environment including planning, retrospectives, demos and stand-ups

  • Review, validate, and prepare functional requirements/design/system description documentation packages

  • Review documentation and modification requests

  • Experience with relational database systems and SQL. Preferably Informix but Oracle and/or DB2 will suffice

  • Experience with various web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, AJAX, etc.)

  • Experience in a UNIX/Linux environment

  • Experience working effectively in a high-paced team environment with minimal instruction/supervision

  • Experience with mobile or responsive design technologies is preferred
