Network Specialist

Key Role:

Plan, design, develop, and implement network engineering plans and wide–scale networks for customers. Monitor all activities of the network facilities, ensure high quality data transmission, and provide technical support in all customer interaction situations, including receipt of specifications, design, test, and response to service requests. Debug and test networks, plan projects, and perform needs assessments. Prepare and oversee cost and benefit estimates, presentations, negotiations, installation, problem resolution, and multi–vendor product integration. Provide initial implementation support of networks to assure proper execution and provide resolution for system failures or degradations. Provide project management and documentation, as required. Use and apply basic principles, theories, and concepts and develop resolutions to problems of limited scope.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with Internet Protocol and telephony network engineering and administration

-Current TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-DoD 8570.0–M or IA Technician Level II Compliance Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with network infrastructure monitoring tools, including Solar Winds Engineers’ Toolset

-1+ years of experience with UCDMO–compliant cross–domain security solutions

-Security+ or higher–level Certification


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
